Red Bull Manny Mania Bucharest Final @ Bucuresti - Fabrica Industrial Skatepark

The origins of Red Bull Manny Mania can be found in the well know trick called "manual", but this competition's history is also strong related to the Red Bull skater Joey Brezinski. The contest and it's concept are based on a single and simple trick: the manual. Doing a manual is actually riding your board only on your front or rear wheels, adding a flip, grind or slide or out of the trick. Because of this, the contest has unlimited trick varioations and offers a chance to the talented and technical skaters. It all turned into a great show.

After three qualifiers rounds, in Iasi, Sibiu si Bucharest, best 12 Romanian skaters competed at Fabrica Industrial Skatepark in Bucharest, doing variations of manual tricks and having only one target - qualifying for the international finals of Red Bull Manny Mania at New York.

The jury had a hard mission, each of the finalists landing tricks after tricks, the competitional level being high. Finally, Stefan Dragomir (17 years old, from Bucharest), also winner of the qualifying round from Bucharest won the final. He was followed by Alexandru Costin, Razvan Popescu si Tiberiu Beliciu.

Among the finalists were Marius Diatcu (Adrenalina), Cristian Cohal (Grasu), Petru Constantin, Dorin Pandel, Andrei Astefanoaiei, Andrei Buta (Diki), Cristi Macaria and Mihai Popa.

In the jury there also was Boaz Aquino, one of the most respected worldwide skaters, which visited Romania for Red Bull Under My Wing project which took place on 12th and 13th of July 2011. 30 Romanian skaters had the chance to train with Boaz and listen his advice.
