www. skatemap.ro website is a project which includes everything within the Romanian skateboarding scene: skate spots, photos, movies, news, events, shops and more. Here you will find all the practicable spots for those who are pasionate of extreme sports: skateparks, street spots, ledges, rails, etc. and all of them have pictures, videos, GPS coordinates, description and other useful information and accurate as possible. Anyone can create an account on www.skatemap.ro and will be able to add new spots or pictures / videos at the spots. The site will expand and will be added new features such as selling new and used products of members (skate clothes, decks, trucks, completes, wheels, longboards etc.) and more.

Skatemap Romania is a project by Skating The Fish, which so far has crossed cities as Slatina, Craiova, Calarasi, Drobeta-Turnu Severin, Pitesti, Galati, Draganesti-Olt, Braila, Buzau, Ploiesti, Caracal. In each city visited, the spots list is filled almost entirely and for all other cities we need your help to join the site and complete the spots you know there. Only with your help we can create a complete skateboarding movement in Romania.

Skating The Fish was born in early summer 2011, after Mihai Tuhari and Alexandru Costin visited Slatina to meet other skaters and skate along with them. Due to the pleasant atmosphere and people there, they decided to lay the foundations Skating The Fish, a project made by skaters for skaters, which wants to create a solid skateboarding community in Romania and promote extreme sports.

Before hitting the road, the boys make an announce on their Facebook page Skating The Fish regarding the city, date of arrival and other info. On the page, you can find videos, photos from trips, news about Romanian skateboarding, history and more.

After each skate trip, the guys make a video edit which is uploaded on their Youtube channel.
